FIrst Entry, Ripped from Pete's Email

hey everybody, I arrived safe and sound in Lima, Peru last night. On
the flight here, I met an American business man, who gave me a safe ride
to my hotel. This was a very good thing because it was free, and I didn't
get ripped off by the taxi drivers. i am staying at the Hostel espana for
six dollars a night.

SO so so so much has gone on today that I don't know where to begin. First, I learned money. Next, I went to cathedral de San Francisco and saw the catacombs (undreground graves). It was interesting to actually see the bones and skulls of thousands of people. The tour of the church was quite informative. Around noon, I stumbled upon the changing of the guard in front of Plaza Mayor, where the president of Peru lives. It was a beautifully orchestrated event. I saw the museum of the Spanish inquisition where all sorts of torture took place. also seen today but of less importance, congress building of Peru and China town. Lima is a very European looking city without the European budget. I really only have it in my heart to see the museum of natural history and Ill be ready to move on from Lima bye for now,
